Configure KATE to open new files in new tabs

HI friends. I believe that many people face this problem for newly installed Ubuntu Distributions. Those who use Kate as their favorite text editor may face the problem of opening every new text file in a new window, thus replacing the existing one.

This means that Kate doesn't allow them to look at the previously opened file unless they use the previous and next document arrows in the user interface of the program. Well, this may be very annoying, especially for those who use multiple text documents at the same time.

For example, the most suitable solution for me is to have tabs and switch between the documents in an easy-to-navigate way. But how to turn this feature on? Let's see.

What you need to do is:

1. Open a single text file using Kate;
2. Click on "Settings" option at the top of Kate and choose "Configure Kate";
3. Go to "Plugins" options under "Applications";
4. In the "Plugin Manager" you should scroll down until you find the "Tab bar" option;
5. Enable this option by ticking the box next to it;
6. Click "apply" and "ok";
7. Now open a new text file.

From now on, every new single text file should be opened in a new tab instead of replacing the existing text file with the newly opened one.

 That's it!
